Mural 1
We can see three of the four elements of nature: fire, air and earth (in the shape of a sphere.)
Mural 6
The time of the martyrs: grills, broken bodies,
tied hands, arrows, nails, anvils... In the center, the cross carried by the witness.
Mural 7
Humanity's greatest effort to get along without a "hereafter": materialism and Leninism. There is nothing to hope for: there is only what can be seen: matter.
Mural 8
Murals 8 and 9 are transitional murals. This mural 8, according to the painter Néstor Basterretxea, represents imprisoned freedom.
Mural 10
It is the risen Christ who breaks the cross and opens up a future beyond death. He's a winner. He rises above the spear and frees himself from the cross. He takes the nails with him. And the crown of thorns is now a halo of light.
Mural 11
Du Christ ressuscité naît la nouvelle création. From the risen Christ a new world is born: it is the new creation.
Mural 12
Du Christ ressuscité naît la nouvelle création. From the risen Christ a new world is born: it is the new creation. The following panels are of Franciscan inspiration: the brother and sister creatures.
Mural 13
The representation of the new world continues, full of light and colour: the colours are softer and are a sign of peace and harmony.
Mural 15
Francis, the new man born of the Easter of Jesus. Reconciled with suffering: the wounds are the memory of what he has lived in this world.
Mural 16
Reconciled with death. He is lying in a coffin, but life springs from his hands: flowers. Above, a flock of birds is calling for celebration. On the left, there is the cross that gives meaning to everything.
